Hollywood Park - Everyday Things

Here are some clips from the 2007 Hollywood Park fall meet that I took with my new Flip video camera. Sorry about the lack of sound on the first clip. About tongue tying: the horse's tongue is pulled out of the side of the mouth and tied to the lower jaw with a piece of cloth. This prevents the tongue from accidentally interfering with a horse's airway during a race. The last clip is of the grey horse Monzante after winning in his U.S. debut. He has since won multiple stakes races including a Grade 1.
